    WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?
    I have been racing triathlons for ten years, half marathons for 3 years, and full marathons for 1.5 years. My background is running, and I have been on USATF since I was in 6th grade. I have been swimming since I was in elementary school, and biking since I was in High School. I started racing back in 2004 to raise money for Cancer and bring awareness to other illnesses. My motivation is to race for others who are suffering from terminal illnesses. 

     

     


    WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
    My biggest accomplish for 2013 was winning my age group at the Quarry Man Super Sprint Triathlon and gaining a spot in the National Championship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My other biggest accomplishment was becoming a Marathon Maniac in 2013.

     

     


    WHO IS YOUR HERO?
    My parents who worked hard to get me the education are both heroes in my book. Without them, I would not be who I am today.

     

     


    WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT YOUR SPORT?
    I enjoy raising money for charities. I love racing and love a multi-sport challenges. I enjoy being around other athletes, and love meeting new people. As a doc, I love seeing people be active and taking charge of their bodies. I enjoy the sport as much I enjoy being healthy. 
     

     
    WHY IS TAKING CARE OF YOUR FEET IMPORTANT TO YOU?
    My feet play an important role in my running, swimming, biking and every other sport I decide to take on. Healthy feet are essential to my from running and biking, as well as my daily job as a Professor of Biology as I am on my feet in the Laboratory for long hours. Foot pain can lead to other bodily dysfunctions, which can keep me off the race course. Wearing the proper insoles and shoes that protect my feet is essential as an athlete.
